In principle, the application period is from February 1 to March 31 each year. The actual application period for each local Taiwan Representative Office will be detailed in its publicly available information. Each applicant must submit their application at the local Taiwan Representative Office in their country of citizenship or at the Taiwan Representative Office that is responsible for matters concerning citizens of the applicant’s country.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
Countries that have diplomatic relations with Taiwan, or have been recognized as having friendly relations with Taiwan by MOFA.

Ministry of Education (MOE)
Countries that are not in the scope of the MOFA scholarships.

Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST)
Countries that are selected from annually designated countries.
